The Koru – this represents the fern frond as it opens bringing new life and purity to the world. It also represents peace, tranquility and spirituality along with a strong sense of regrowth and new beginnings. It’s shape, as with Kenpo, conveys the idea of perpetual and unending movement or motion, while the inner coil suggests returning to the point of origin.

The Smaller Koru – this represent our Junior students who through the study and practice of Kenpo will unfurl and develop into strong role models and leaders within our community.

The Radiating lines – this represents expansion and the many angles and facets within the art of Kenpo. These are the angles from which an opponent, or we, can attack or defend, and the pattern in which the feet can travel.

The Outer Circle – this is seamless with no beginning or end and protects all those within the school. It symbolises the oneness between the Kenpoist and their art, bringing together Mind, Body and Spirit.

The Inner Circle – this represents the Instructors, their dedication, knowledge and expertise, and that they are always close by and ready to help.

The Silver Fern –  this is the long-held symbol of our beautiful country and shows us the way in the dark.
